Components:
1. Series LX Motor: These permanent magnet motors are specifically designed for high torque/low speed applications, offering more power for jobs like stone setting, wax modeling, and pearl drilling. M.LX, M.LXM, and M.LXB ball bearing motors feature full power and torque from start up and throughout the entire speed range up to 5,000 rpm. They are ideal for use with Foredoms drill presses. They also are well matched with the H.18, H.15 and H.15D Quick Change and Hammer Handpieces for stone setting. It comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging,
and our standard 39″ long key-tip shafting for connecting to any of Foredom’s key tip compatible handpieces. M.LX motors are available in 115 Volt and 230 Volt.Foredoms permanent magnet motors require the use of a C.TXR, C.SXR, or C.EMX speed control. Damage will result if the motor is connected to any other speed control.
2. C.EMX Speed Control: is a table top speed control in heavy duty plastic housing. It has a dial control for precise speed settings, as well as good repeatability of previous settings. The
C.EMX-1 has special electronics that converts AC current from an electrical outlet to DC current- the type required by the motor. It also has a cord with plug that fits the motor’s shielded plug. It is interchangeable with Foredom’s C.TXR-1 and C.SXR-1 controls.
3. H.50 Chisel Handpiece: works in all types of wood, plastic, and plaster. This handpiece has a contoured body design that
features a rugged plastic barrel and tapered aluminum ends. The easy to maintain chisel handpiece is recommended for use at low speed with Series TX and LX motors and in forward rotation only with Series SR motors. Handpiece attaches to any flex shaft machine with a standard key tip shaft. The Chisel Handpiece must be used only in the forward motor direction. Recommended Speed:Optimum Speed Range- 3,000-10,000 rpm.
Max. Operating Speed- 18,000 rpm.
Maintenance: After every 200 hours of use you should clean and lubricate this handpiece. The old grease must be cleaned off of the interior cam chamber and replaced with new lubricant. If you do not have Foredom Grease (Part No. MS10008), it is available in our web store under Supplies and Parts – Lubrication- All Lubricants. Follow the instructions that came with your handpiece or click on the link for step by step maintenance instructions.Operating Tip: Using the chisel handpiece with a dial speed control is easier than with a foot operated control. Table top dial controls are available separately and named below. Consider ordering a kit containing the chisel handpiece and dial speed control (kit depends on motor -M.TX & M.LX or M.SR- that you have). Certain Foredom bench mounted flex shafts also come with dial controls built into their bases (models M.LXM, M.TXM and M.SRM).

6. Flexible shaft grease
