Introducing Epsilon PRO Thixotropic Epoxy Coating
Epsilon PRO is a high-performance, thixotropic epoxy coating that self-thickens for easy application on a variety of surfaces. Compared to the original Epsilon, Epsilon PRO offers a longer working time and cured epoxy is semi-rigid, offering better impact resistance.
Key Features and Benefits
With a mix ratio of 2A:1B by volume (100A:44B by weight), Epsilon PRO is easy to use and doesn't require a gram scale. Applied in thin layers, the mixed material holds a vertical surface without sagging or slumping. The material wets out uniformly over different surfaces, and its pot life is 22 minutes with a re-coat time of 3 hours.
Applications and Uses
Epsilon PRO is suitable for use as a protective, impact resistant coating for EPS or polyurethane foam. It can also be applied to plaster, concrete, wood, and fabrics. This product is not sensitive to moisture/humidity and contains no VOC’s.
Preparation and Application
To ensure a successful application, make sure to follow the instructions carefully. Avoid breathing fumes and use in a well-ventilated area with a NIOSH-approved respirator. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves to minimize skin contact.
Adding Color and Thickening
Epsilon PRO can be easily colored using Ignite or UVO colorants. Adding Ure-fil 9 (fumed silica) or Ure-fil 11 (short strand fibers) creates a creamy, easy-to-spread, and smooth paste perfect for filling seams, repairing small dents and divots, or smoothing rough areas on EPS foam surfaces.
