Description
Mold Max STROKE is a breakthrough in mold making technology, offering a unique brushable tin silicone rubber that self-thickens for creating fast and accurate brush-on molds of almost any model. When properly applied, it will hold a vertical surface and reproduce even the finest details. By mixing 100A:10B by weight, the rubber quickly develops thixotropy, making it easy to apply with a brush or spatula. With a working time of 30-45 minutes and a re-coat time of 60-90 minutes, you'll have ample time to get the job done efficiently.

What sets Mold Max STROKE apart is its exceptional flexibility and durability. It will not stick to most surfaces and will cure with negligible shrinkage to a strong, flexible Shore 30A rubber. This means you can achieve four thin layers that are necessary to make a strong and durable production mold for casting wax, gypsum, concrete, or resins (urethane, polyester, etc.). Whether you're involved in sculpting, architectural restoration, candle making, or other applications, Mold Max STROKE is the ideal solution.

To ensure successful results, it's essential to follow the instructions carefully. Begin by weighing Part A and B components using a gram scale, as this is crucial for achieving the right mix ratio. For best results, apply the rubber in thin layers, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next. You can also add a small amount of Silc-Pig silicone pigment to every other mix of rubber to help distinguish one layer from the next.

For added convenience, you can also use a release agent, such as Ease Release 200, to make demolding easier. Additionally, applying a small amount of Thi-Vex thickener will increase thixotropy substantially, making it ideal for filling deep undercuts and details. By following these guidelines, you'll be able to create strong, durable molds that will meet your specific needs.

Once the mold is fully cured, a rigid support shell is necessary to support the rubber mold during casting. Plasti-Paste is an excellent option as a mother mold material. After curing, allow the mold to cool to room temperature before using it for casting low-temperature melt metal alloys, gypsum, wax, concrete, Smooth-On liquid plastics, epoxies, and more.

At Smooth-on, we understand that every application is unique, and that's why we recommend conducting a small-scale test to determine the suitability of Mold Max STROKE for your specific project. By doing so, you'll be able to ensure optimal performance and achieve the desired results. With its exceptional flexibility, durability, and ease of use, Mold Max STROKE is the perfect solution for anyone involved in mold making.
