Preparation is Key

Before applying General Finishes oil based gel stain, make sure to prep your wood properly. Sand your raw wood to 150-grit and clean your existing finishes with denatured alcohol and water.

Application Made Easy

Apply our gel stain with a natural bristle brush, foam brush, or pad applicator. Work in sections and wipe off excess stain with a clean cloth. Let dry 12-24 hours between coats.
